A
feisty group of woman led by Betty pledge to stop at nothing to get
out of the sex crazed world they are forced into. The sex trade is lead
by to complete scum buckets Edgar and Elaine. Edgar and his co conspirator
Elaine run a profitable business selling captured women to the highest
bidder. If the girls don’t comply they get the whip! Edgar’s nephew
works for his Uncle but falls in love with Betty and promises to get
her out of the sexual and sadistic hell they’re all force into. Determined
to break free they use their wits along with their sexuality to their
advantage. While making progress they decrease in numbers along the
way while being hunted by savage bounty hunters. Every time they get
away they run into some strange characters like an umbrella carrying
homosexual priest that worships Satan and runs a crew of gold discovering
slaves.
This
is an all out exploitation extravaganza filled with perverted glee like
vagina bathing, bow and arrow kills, booty shaking and a very simple
story to follow. Each girl is has a role in getting out of the hellish
paradise and at the same time each beautiful girl takes turn at showing
us lucky viewers the goods.
Although
this is strictly an exploitation film I still feel that Oswaldo De Oliveira
poked fun at how easily manipulated men are when under the spell of
a gorgeous women. I can try to write an essay about this film but it
was straightforward squalor that tickled the funny bone with its unabashed
absurdity. I believe all the women were from Brazil and they are all
quite easy and the eyes. Still the ladies didn’t just offer eye candy.
I actually enjoyed rooting for all of these women to get out of the
unjust trap. Watching them toss Molotov Cocktails at dimwitted watchmen
made this a delightful slice of exploitive cinema. Who says you can’t
cheer for naïve women trapped in paradise. The film has its slow moments
but there are always lightly clothed and stripped down ladies to keep
your attention. The film is bizarre at times but I enjoyed it and I
wouldn’t classify this film as “so bad its good” because it is
flat out a great time and meant to entertain the viewer with women slaves
turned heroines and constant titillation. I am not one of those guys
that gets off on watching lesbian action but this film is loaded with
that and lots of female tussling.
I love Blue Underground because they release DVD’s that the general public might not care about. They understand that there is an audience for such rudimentary material and god bless them!
