Pretty
generic title right? Well, the thing is, it’s far from being a generic
movie. It does light comedy right, presenting us with a great cast of
characters and there’s a discussion between two professionals about
Marty Feldman that shouldn’t make you smile but does. Actually, when
this came about, I had an inclination that one of the characters was
doing an impression of someone that’s mentioned in the conversation
between these two. Am I being vague?
Steve
Hudgins of Big Biting Pig Productions and the rest of the cast put on a
good show. It’s not all comedy however and there are twists, some of
which you may see coming & some you may not.
Not
quite divorced Melissa hooks up with a chap online and agrees to meet
him in the morning hours, where it’s supposedly safe. On her way to his
house, there’s a breaking news report of an escaped mental patient, who
Melissa believes she just about hits on her way to her blind date. When
she gets to the house however, she meets another guy who could easily
fit the psycho image. From this point on things go quite crazy and the
twists begin. There are a few scenes that will make you cringe, even
just a little. You know, I like gore and there’s a bit to be had here,
but those damn broken bones get me every time. And
what can you say about a nut with the pick of the shed of tools in
front of him and reaches for the trust ol’ kitchen knife? Nothing beats
knife. Unless it’s a drill with an auger bit.
I
like to try and figure out what’s going on before the deal goes down,
it makes me feel smart. While I figured a couple things out, there were
at least a couple I did not, and for that I would like to thank the
folks over at www.bigbitingpigproductions.com
for entertaining me throughout. I hope you get a chance to see this,
and enjoy it as much as I did. This is good independent cinema.
