Directed
by Charles Lamont (or notorious Doris Wishman cinematographer C. Davis
Smith’s alias) “In-Flight Service” seems like it’s going to be your
typical comedic 70s porn flick, but in actuality ends up being one
sleazy little grinder that was probably quite the grindhouse hit when
it was in theaters. The film is centered around a promiscuous airline
hostess and her slutty roommate and ends with their Halloween party
centered around an orgy.
The movie itself is quite typical of what you’d find at the time it
was released, but it manages to get sleazy when least expected making
it quite the surprise. I wasn’t expecting anything short of a little
sex romp but was quite surprised that the film actually contains two
rape scenes. One being rather goofy and humorous and another one
aiming to simply offend. With this being said another thing that
shocked me about this one is that the girls in it can actually have
sex. Not that the women in most of these films can’t, but during this
era seeing drugged up is a pretty casual thing. Not in this one
however as the women seemingly are enjoying the scenes more than the
guys are. To me this was a bit of a surprise and surely is a reason
why “In-Flight Service” is better than your average adult flick at this
time.
The movie features decent stock footage of airports and plains
something that most films of this type wouldn’t even attempt to add
into their film. It might sound weird, but it sort of gives the movie
a feel of legitimacy even if we’re just talking an old school fuck film
here. The movie also has a airplane set that actually looks pretty
good for a low rent adult grinder and gives the movie the proper
atmosphere to take off in

Come with Me My Love (1975)
Many fans of
exploitation films will recognize the name Doris Wishman. She’s
managed to make a name for herself since starting to make films in the
early 60s. Since then she’s managed to gather a cult of fans as well
as make some interesting and infamous films. But with that being said
something Wishman always stuck to was that she never made any hardcore
films during her career. But that changed in the late 90s as she was
outed by porn legend Annie Sprinkles who mentioned Wishman directing
her in at least two separate films. One of those films was “Come with
Me My Love” which Wishman directed under the name Luigi Manicottale.
“Come with Me My Love” starts out with a man and a woman getting
down and dirty in bed. Then all of the sudden a ghost (although you do
have to allow your brain to be fooled as the visual effect for this is
terrible and outdated) shows up and kills both of them and himself.
That man’s ghost continues to haunt the apartment building fifty years
later as well. Abby starts to realize that something isn’t quite
right, but it’s not going to stop her from having as many sexual
adventures as she’d like to though!
The movie is typical Wishman with quite the hokey storyline and
rapid goofiness, but I actually really liked this one. It’s certainly
as quirky of an adult film as you’d ever expect to see and at times
it’s actually pretty well put together for what it is. I mean, who
else would attempt to start an adult film with a murder-suicide but
Doris Wishman?
The movie itself boasts some major heavyweights as far as the adult
industry goes which shows you that Wishman knew a lot more about the
porn game than she ever lead on. The movie features legends such as
Annie Sprinkle, Vanessa Del Rio, Levi Richards and even Robert Kerman (R. Bolla) to round out the cast and you get some good stuff here.
Considering it’s Wishman I was actually surprised to see that some of
the sex scenes here are actually well done!
Overall I had a really good time with “Come with Me My Love” and I
think a lot of others out there will too. It’s not the greatest adult
film I’ve ever seen, but it’s pretty damn solid and manages to put
together some solid scenes to go along with the total absurdity of it’s
plot. It’s a lot of fun and fits well in this double feature.

The Slutty Stewardess Grindhouse Double
Feature is a great DVD release from the people at After Hours Cinema
and it really is a DVD that a lot of care went into. The DVD itself
comes with trailers of some of their other adult titles as well as
commentary from director Charles Lamont to round out the special
features. This one comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for fans of the vintage
adult film.
