This early low budget “rip-off”
of Psycho is a movie that I’ve been trying to find for a few years.
The movie opens with the killer burying a young man in cement.
The action then shifts to a middle-aged couple driving down a lonely
country road at night. They see lights from an oncoming car that
is driving on the wrong side of the road. The car runs them off
the road and then speeds away. The couple then drives to a local
tavern where they talk to the patrons about what happened. It
is here that we are introduced to the main characters of the film, a
woman and the two men that are trying to be her boyfriend. The
story is setup from here. We find that the young man who we saw
being buried in cement is the woman’s brother and he didn’t die.
The experience has driven him insane and he is currently in a mental
hospital. Thru some convoluted logic the young woman and one of
her suitors end up at a ghost town where in short order they find the
body of an old man. They leave to get the police and while they
are gone the other hopeful boyfriend comes to the ghost town to warn
them that the woman’s brother has broken out of the hospital.
He misses them, but does find the killer who traps him in the town and
starts to psychologically torture him before burying him alive in the
cemetery of the ghost town. The woman and other man return find
the body and then encounter the killer. The killer knocks the
man out and takes the woman off. The sheriff finally arrives and
with the now conscious boyfriend now track down the killer and save
